For the uninitiated building on the Islands is a challenge.   Material selection for our highly corrosive environment and the additional logistics of moving them here can cause losses in time and money. Selecting industry professionals well versed in these challenges greatly improves timely completion and lowering the stresses that come with building.   A homeowner has two critical relationships to develop:  those with their architect\draftsperson and builder.   Both are crucial towards bringing the vision a homeowner wants into reality.

Either or both of these relationships can handle all the rest of the interactions required to build a home (subs and suppliers).  However if you are more hands on or considering an “owner-builder” format, then one needs to develop similar relationships down into the supply chain.   In such cases, finding suppliers that have the end-users’ best interest as their priority can be difficult.   Let’s face it, some suppliers will say anything to get the sale!

At Cadowin we feel it is important for you to know both the strengths and weaknesses of our products.   We offer many great lines that we simply will not recommend for certain locations.
